The Studio
A purpose built area where we hold our weekly Saturday night sessions of storytelling and music. It has a bathroom and kitchen and is available to be hired out for meetings and workshops. Groups as diverse as the North West Mountain Rescue Service and the Girl Guides have met here. We run creative writing and storytelling workshops here and have also held workshops on basket making and photography. It is also the home base for the Glens Red Squirrel Group and we have a weekly yoga class.
Every Saturday night tourists and locals come together to play music, tell stories or to simply listen and socialise. This gives our guests the chance to interact with people steeped in the folklore of the Glens of Antrim. They get a glimpse at the real Ireland, a chance to really get to know the land and its people.
Groups who come to stay use the studio as a base for walking , as an extended dining area, or simply a place to chill and read or play music. There are instruments to borrow – guitar, mandolin, violin and many books to read.
